Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for electrical & electronic categories’ total quality management up to shipment approval.
• Need to conduct product review for risk assessment and trouble shooting.
• New product and component inspection and evaluation.
• Pre-shipment inspection and reporting
• Establish Bahag's product information and check list
• Supplier quality control and corrective action follow up
• Product certificate and document verification.
• Work with authorized organization (e.g. TUV PS, VDE) about new requirement and standard for European market.
• Quality document review and approval including test report, inspection report, GS/CE Certificate / Timber Regulation / BSCI. Responsible for quality documents record & management.
• Arrangement / co-ordination of 3^rd party testing & inspection.
• On site visit for supplier management including product review and conduct product inspection with reporting.

Skills and Qualifications

Education & experience

• Bachelor degree or equivalent discipline in Electrical or Electronic Engineering / Manufacturing
• Good communication skills both in English and Mandarin
• Business travel in SE Asia & Greater China region is required.
• 5+ years Quality Control experience is preferred.
• General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Good analytical mind with a can-do attitude. Independent and good problem solving skills & sound manufacturing knowhow are preferred.

General skills

• Team player with excellent communication & presentation skills in English and Chinese .
• Can-do attitude and independent. Good problem-solving skills & sound manufacturing, product knowhow for European market are preferred.
• A good understanding of the quality testing and chemical testing is required. Using data to drive sourcing decisions.
• Project Management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively and handling challenges and tight deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, logistics). Communicate location-independently with a team in multiple countries and locations.
• Excellent IT & computer skills (Windows or macOS): Work in a modern work environment and able to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of Product compliance, sustainability standards and European Environmental Regulations.
